Episode # 78 - The NEW Quilter on Fire Podcast

Happy Wednesday everyone! Join me this week as I transition from Canadian Quilt Talk into the ALL NEW Quilter On Fire Podcast for my 78th episode. For the second time, I'll be interviewing Canadian quilt teacher and pattern designer Kim Jamieson-Hirst of www.chatterboxquilts.com. We'll talk about her latest new online course called The Joy of Vintage Sewing Machines on Curios.com. I have to say I've only ever had modern sewing machines for the last 24 years, but Kim has opened my eyes to the world of high quality vintage meant to last.

Kim Jamieson-Hirst
Kim Jamieson-Hirst is an avid quilter and collector of all things fabric. Since 2008 she has been designing quilt, hand embroidery and softie patterns under the name of Chatterbox Quilts in Calgary, AB. Kim enjoys creating Youtube videos where she shares information about quilting, book reviews and her love of vintage sewing machines, supervised by her two furry assistants, Charlie and Teeka. Kim owns too much fabric and believes that chocolate is an essential quilting tool. Her designs have been featured in such publications as Quilter's Connection magazine, Irish Quilting magazine, and the Bustle & Sew zine.

You can check out KIM'S blog CHATTERBOX QUILTS and her post about how we finally met for the first time at Quilt Canada and she chats about being on the new Quilter on Fire podcast this week.  Super sweet, thanks Kim!

And the classes are so fun and carefree that you will share a machine with your room mate, so we can host up to 60 quilters. This is going to be the cruise of a lifetime!
